This looks like some strange peloric (freak) form affecting mostly the three sepals, although the petals also look unusual. Were there any other Diuris plants around?

Yes, Cath, this is an area where a number of Diuris sp. plants grow - including D. pardina and D. sulphura.

Although I think this is most likely a freak D. pardina, it's probably best to leave it just as Diuris sp. It would be very interesting to know if any other unusual plants appear nearby.

There is some colour variation in other Diuris plants. Will post these as well. Thanks CathB

What a weird plant! Agree it looks like a freak of Diuris pardina.
