First CNM sighting of this species from the ACT, and I believe the first record of this species since 2012 in the ACT. Though known from the vicinity of Cypress pine lookout.

Ww's saw numerous examples post fire on the track from the Mt Booroomba Car park towards Bushfold Flats recently

@RogerF do you know if the locations of the plants between Booroomba and Bushfolds been recorded any where now? Keen to get as much fire response info on these plants as possible. Cheers!

Hi Bethany, The pungens were seen on an ANPS walk on May 5 2023 along the Alpine WT descending from Boroomba Rocks Carpark towards Bushfold flats. We do not normally take GPS records of plants we see along these walks but simply compile a list. My impression was they had germinated from seed post fire as the fire would have been very hot on the north facing slope. I did not photograph the plants as they were not in flower. This was our first visit to this section of the Alpine WT.
