The mite was sighted on the side of a tree, just above a spider's silk lines (first image). It eventually walked into the lines and came to a halt. The mite gradually 'felt' the lines and then carefully stepped over them (second to fifth images) before going on its way. The fifth image shows the mite part of the way through the stepping process, in the middle of the silk lines.
