I'm not sure why you think this is subsp lesueurii. It looks like and is most likely to be howittii so unless someone dissagrees I am happy to leave it as sp level
Hi Wombey, I am a recent immigrant with absolutely no expertise in lizard taxonomy, and chose the broadest water dragon species I could see based entirely on other photos. I thought (also going from photos) that it might be the Gippsland sub-species, but I am more than happy to be educated on this!
