A lot of activity at the top of this nest in Kama. Sorry, should have taken a closer image, but zoomed in is pretty good pixels still. Suspect Melophorus sp. after having a review of Ants in CNM - thanks to better photos!

Hi Jim, from the photo and the look of the nest, I'd guess that the ant is Iridomyrmex purpureus, but there's not enough detail in the photo to be sure. Cheers, Jon
