Weedy, most parkcare groups tend to remove this species, I pull it out when I encouter it in my local area (Red hill).

How do you tell a Cootamundra from a Black? They seem very similar

Black wattle tends to be taller and flower later (Late winter early spring for cootamundra) and (late spring to early summer for black wattle). Black wattle tends to have green foliage while cootamundra tends to be ashy grey or silver. I would say the A.deccurrens or A.dealbata look more like black wattle than A.baileyana does.
