Significant sighting

MichaelMulvaney noted:

7 Aug 2022

New location and only the 4th record of this species in the ACT. It is widespread in Tasmania and eastern Victoria but is rare in our region

User's notes

On a tree fern next to a waterfall. It was so dark my phone refused to take any better photos.

Syn, Cranfillia fluviatilis. This is a rare one, not recorded often in the ACT, it adds to a total of 3 locally rare fern species at the cascades along with Blechnum patersonii and Asplenium gracilimum. Great find!

I am not surprised but very pleased it has been found. Extremely rare in the ACT.

Upon a return visit Ned and I were unable to locate the plant and have assumed it has been destroyed at this location.
