Thanks Roger! The snow depth was variable up to 40cm or so on the summit and western slope. coming up from the east (I think), the snow ranges from none at all to around 20cm.
Nice one, a winter ascent of Gingera. Which route did you take? I've done Ginini in snow, I don't think it was winter though. Have done Gudgenby solo in winter, which was dangerous.
I puffed my way up the stockyard spur from corin dam! I remember hearing that the gate at mt franklin road was closed preventing acess to the Mt Ginini carpark at the visitors centre a couple of weeks ago, it may have been open at the time but I decided it would be safer to go from Corin. A great way to spend a Sunday.
I imagine it would've been a slippery climb up the granite on Gudgenby!
