Its a good suggestion, but I think the foliage is to small and I can't recall seeing V.derwentiana with spent flowers like that. I was thinking lamiaceae of some kind.

Steve, this would be a good one to monitor for flowers, that'll help narrow things down. For now we'll see if inspiration strikes.

No problems, I’ll have a look whenever I head over that way. They were quite common near the creek and in clearer areas of the gullies coming off the creek.

Oh yes, that looks right, found this picture of spent flowerheads on Inat (See below).
Steve, Teucrium corymbosum is uncomon in our region, this is a good sighting.
