Hmmmm, I think my past self thought so too, I have polystichum proliferum recorded on my species list for this time stamp (my camera isn't great so I write down field IDs to prevent confusion such as here!).

If the fronds come from a single point, P. proliferum,. Hypolesis sp fronds come from a spreading rhizome.
