User's notes

The insect appeared to have fallen from above and been impaled upside-down on a spike. The head end is adjacent to the penetration. Thanks to Marcus for the initial sighting within a bush.

This happens surpringly often!! In the northern Hemisphere it could be attrbuted to the behaviour of a bird in the shrike family
