The images show a lone White Slug Mite on the slug recorded in sighting 4434699. When the slug was disturbed by the camera, the slug mite took off from the tail end and moved at speed to enter the slug's pneumostome, as seen in the final image. This behaviour has been recorded before in sighting 4381258 and may be normal behaviour for mites seeking a safe haven on their host.
