Attracted to UV light

From what I can see of the forewing pattern it looks to be a good match for A. craterana which Bold Systems 4 confirms occurs in SE NSW as well as Tasmania. I rule out A. sphaltica because the leading edge of the main whitee diagonal line is straight without a bulge in it.

Asthenoptycha clarana does not appear in AFD or ALA. Do you mean Clarana clarana Meyrick, 1881?

Hi Don, the background was white, the UV light is making the background appear blue. Sorry the photos aren’t the best, for whatever reason I found it hard to get the lighting right for this one.
