From this angle, there is no way to distinguish A. asserta from A.chlorocyanea.

Thank you Michael, I think I meant to post it as A. asserta not A.chlorocyanea which seems to be the more common bee here in Canberra. I have an out of focus photo of the bee in flight if that would help in ID.
