A good photo of the widespread form of P. entrecasteauxii. Male just getting orange-red breeding colours. Interestingly at Kosciuszko above the tree line this largely unmarked form is replaced by a striped morph. There are a few photos of the striped morph on CNM. Genetic studies have indicated the two forms are the same species. The striped morph closely resembles another high elevations skink L. cryodroma found only in Victoria.
