low down on a bank , beside a creek: currently just above water level. Likely to have been submerged and battered by rec nt high flow.

They might be two different species. First photograph, Blechnum wattsii, second Blechnum minus.

The second and third photos are definitely B. minus, but I’m pretty sure the first is B. wattsii - the large, coarse, backward pointing initial pinnae are characteristic.
