Good photo showing the high elevation (above the tree line) form of Pseudemoia entrecasteauxii. In the ACT this skink is quite a plain brown looking skink with a darker side stripe, but up at Kosciuszko this species has boldly striped (along the sides). I have noticed that the change occurs in frost hollow valleys and particularly in the treeless alpine zone. Lower down in forests and woodlands they look more like the ACT individuals.
