Looks full of something. At this time of year could be about to lay a clutch of eggs in a termite mound.

Yes - and she moved slowly as if feeling uncomfortably heavy. Facial markings are very similar to sighting 4242667, made nearby about 3 years ago, so possibly the same individual.

If you find a Nasutitermes termite mound soon with a goanna sized tunnel into it, a wildlife camera at hatching time might help resolve with certainty whether or not the females of this species release the young from the mound, or whether the hatchlings make their own exit hole, or whether either/both apply.
