User's notes

Female (1st photograph) from first pair ate acacia pods for ~30 mins. Male had flown overhead and was nearby based on calling. Female and male both flew off as another pair (male + female; 2nd photograph) of gang gangs flew in and landed on a nearby gumtree. No hollow noticeable but they did bark the branch they landed on
