from @ReneeB senior threatened species ecologist: a young dusky antechinus - you can tell by the length of the claws and the width between the eyes. It just looks weird because the ears are comparatively big - think of it as a kid that needs to grow into its ears

And: Note the scientific name change from A. swainsonii to A mimosa for the dusky
