Significant sighting

trevorpreston noted:

20 Oct 2021

This is the first sighting of this species on Canberra Nature Map.

User's notes

Under a log - very beautiful. About 3-4 cm long in what looked like a fairly relaxed position (so not stretched out).

Thanks for such a great sighting! A beautiful flatworm, and probably the first sighting of this species on Canberra Nature Map.
I'm having a bit of a guess here when I say possibly Australopacifica lucasi, but I don't have much info to go on, and Ill leave it up to turb to identify this one. I hope this gets marked as significant as a first.

It is interesting that both comments refer to Lenkunya munda as a beautiful flatworm ... which undoubtedly it is. In fact the name Lenkunya means beautiful, referring to all members of this genus, while the specific epithet means clean, nice and neat.
