Did you happen to notice whether they were eating the gum nuts in this tree?

They were not (as far as I could tell) eating gum nuts. A male was eating something in the eucalyptus regrowth (we had the Currowan Fire burn through in 2019/20). It was an extremely pepperminty smell where he had been eating - about 2 metres off the ground.

Thanks Andy - maybe they had been eating the new leaf buds of the eucalyptus - but I really have no idea
