Took strong exception to being prodded with the camera lens.

Usually the male only comes out of its burrow during periods of high humidity - perhaps you had some rain out your way that we missed out on

That's interesting, although we haven't had rain here for a week. Perhaps something disturbed him, as he was heading purposefully across the ground and in no mood to be interrupted.

They usually don't travel far from there burrow except when trying to locate a burrow of a female with which to mate
