Hi Matt I can confirm that this is a new finding! Unfortunately, I can also confirm that many multiple new tracks and short cuts including through Canberra Spider orchid populations developed during the past 1.5 years. Volunteers are very disheartened and helpless.

Many thanks for sending a message reg this sighting to me; as the Mt Majura moderator I do not receive recordings that are placed into "Downer" - see the headline with the common name - and I thus I miss out on most recodings which for unknown reason placed into Downer, Hackett or Watson....

unfortunately i don't get the

Sightings ought to be linked to Maps, not to Places; I.e. Mt Majura not Downer. I don’t know if that can be changed back.

I wrote to the CNM contact about the problem a couple of times includ. just half an hour ago.
If you check the following places: Downer, Watson, Hackett, Canberra Central, Majura you'll find that many records are in fact taken within the Mt Majura nature reserve and the Black Mountain nature reserve.
I wonder whether there is a limited number of records allocated to a Map (ie Mt Majura) and records above that allocation "spill" into nearby Places?
It is not possible for me to moderate records that I don't receive.
And I don't want to become the moderator for Downer etc either because I would then receive the records for Black Mountain etc.
I hope that this problem can be fixed.
