Did not move, did not look very well, but seemed to be alive.

May have lost some weight over winter. Often when a bearded dragon sees someone approaching they will run to a tree or a burrow, but if they cannot do that, they will lie down flat against a log, rock, tussock or depression in the ground and, particularly if they are cold, will "freeze" hoping that the predator (you in this case) will not see them.
