Thanks RodDeb we have a female Y4 who has not partnered over the last two years and spent summer in the Tuggeranong area including hunting rabbits at the Gilmore horse paddocks. This winter she spent at the base of Cape York. However this bird doesn't seem to have a transmitter - or did you happen to notice one? Hopefully this is a male and she may nest this year.

Hi Michael, didn't notice a transmitter but it was flying very fast and disappeared quickly towards Wanniassa Hill. We hadn't seen a Little Eagle here before. Hope there does end up being a pair. There are definitely rabbits around here.

Thanks I have bene informed that this is a different eagle, but our female is in teh same location so heres hoping they have paired up
