User's notes

pair with 3 ducklings, pair with 9 ducklings, plus another 12 adults All the trees and shelter have been removed from the little "Island" as well as the reeds where the Reed-Warblers used to be, no where for them to come at present. Also may be due to no cover on the Island saw remains of a dead bird, probably a duck just open wings and carcass. A few plants have been planted on the "island" but have not been protected so won't last long. Also a number of trees have been cut down in the woodland area. Have also noticed this "over clearing" done at Stranger Pond and Point Hut Crossing. Where some of the trees and bushes are now falling over as it was not done very carefully, if in fact it should have been done at all. As now the Superb Fairywrens have disappeared from where they were at Stranger Pond. Thought that it was now known to leave undergrowth for the birds and animals.
