After helpful discussion with GBaines, I suspect this might be E. viminalis, as I think this species is present nearby.

Have more recently looked at juveniles in the area. All have rounded, sessile leaves, light green in colour. Not long and thin. I suspect that all these large emergent canopy trees are E. dalrympleana, not E. viminalis.
