This magpie is missing its lower bill, is this a result of an accident or a birth defect? It seemed to act normally and didn't appear to be in pain. Other magpies are starting nest building in our area.

Not entirely sure what happened, likely snapped off during some vicious duel with another magpie or while hunting.
