Very late in the year for this species.

That's what we thought also. Seems a number of "migrating" birds are staying longer and some don't seem to be migrating anymore, we have Wattlebirds they stay in our area all year now. Also some of the honeyeaters stay all year at Tidbinbilla and the ANBG, they seem to be getting confused with what to do.
