Appears to have the dark forelegs characteristic of F. hypoleuca but may be not dark enough. Looks to be a female I suspect. But could be F. perplexata. Moths of Victoria say the females of F. hypoleuca have more pointed wingtips which would appear to fit this specimen. According to MoV F. hypoleuca don;t necessarily have a large wing spot.

I was wondering if it was not F. perplexata. The wing pattern appears to match better. I photographed another two of these moths last night. They might make the ID easier.

I have a number of photos of this species and haven't been able to decide confidently they are F. hypoleuca or perplexata or mixed. The species look different in the collection, but photos leave me perplexed.
