Foraging next to a paved walking path in very close proximity to people (<1m). It seemed to be eating a piece of apple which one of the many assembled onlookers probably gave it to eat.

Southern Brown Bandicoot.
Tidbinbilla is an open-range zoo. Some display animals are tame, some are closer to truly wild ones. There seems to be no wild population remaining in the ACT of this species, but there are sparse wild populations of Perameles nasuta, the Long Nosed Bandicoot.
