User's notes

My first ever Legless Lizard! It was crossing the road ahead of me, and when I stopped it was at the "curb" and did not seem to be able to navigate the 6 inch "wall" confronting it. It was about 45cm long. After staying still for a short time it turned to try to get up to the embankment, sampling the air furiously before a big effort, and managed to half jump half slither up.
