This is the second time I have had a brown looking moth like this. While it is probably Crypsiphona ocultaria it has an unusual feature besides being brown in that the normally black spot under the hindwing is a reddish line.

Looking at the underside photo of a male on Lepidoptera Butterfly House I see a dark line and no b;ack spot as in your photo. There is a second black dot on the underside of the forewing though (see second photo) which sometimes looks as though its on the hindwing. Its largely obscured by the hindwing in the fourth photo.
