Reddish colour; white between antennae; distinct discal spots on both fore and hind wings; dark splodge on forewing. Best fit C. oenias rather than coniodes or melanops.

While I'm generally supportive of your diagnosis, based on what Moths of Victoria says. I'm not sure I can categorically rule out C. coniodes. I notice in C. coniodes the outer forewing dot is placed anterior to the broad diffuse forewing brown band whereas in C. oenias it appears to be posterior to it. Casbia are notoriously difficult to ID and I'm struck by the huge amount of variation apparently possible in C. melanops.

Out of area for C. coniodes, wing tips are pointed and there are no white dots.

Quite likely, but Bold Systems 4 only entry for C. coniodes shows a record from coastal NSW. We will be reviewing CNM's Casbia records soon including reference to to ANIC's holdings as needs be, many of which do not show up online or may not have been sampled by Bold Systems 4.
