I think perhaps a case of arrested development (?) because the wings do not seem to be yet fully formed, particularly the hindwings. A male judging by the antennae. Was the moth alive?

Yes, it was alive and seemed quite well and active. I agree that there was something very strange about its wings and I completely failed to see what species it was. Thanks for the ID.
