Meredith Cosgrove's 'Photographic guide to native plants of the ACT' states that the calyx of P.australe is covered in "long tapering, soft hairs", while in P.inodorum the calyx is covered in "short stiff hairs". Second sp of native storksbill for Hughes grassy woodland, great sighting jacky :).
Thanks. Thanks also for the spear thistle and nettle tree sightings on Hughes Grassy Woodland, I think we found and eliminated them. If you see any more serious weeds there, please could you let Friends of Hughes Grassy Woodland know, by messaging me, KL or Jenny T, and you are most welcome to join the group, no pressure to attend working bees. But feel free to remove any weeds! Cheers Jacky
No worries, pleased to hear they have been removed. I would definitely be interested in joining Friends of Hughes grassy woodland, although my time is stretched pretty thin at the moment i would love to help out where I can. Is there someone I should email?? Cheers, :)
