Author's notes

A male left the nesting tree just as I arrived at 7.12pm and I took a quick photo of him. I was distracted once again by the other Gang-gangs using the overcast conditions to prey on dopey Red-eye cicadas. This particular individual was still alive on the ground, with the entire abdomen cleanly ripped off.
