User's notes

Scans show 1. seed head and seeds; 2. leaves and stem. Leaves enrolled, ripped, coarsely haired. Most plants were over 1m tall (seed heads) and this particular specimen (which i collected for id) was as tall as me (162 cm). The coordinates are estimates only. If it turns out to be CNG, I will return and hopefully find it again and remove as much as I can (some plants have already shed seeds). I could not see the corona where the awn joins the seed. I wonder whether this could be Austrostipa? bigeniculata? or rudis? (awns bent twice in dry seed, , 6cm long, upper glume >1cm long).

Hi Waltraud
This looks more like Austrostipa bigeniculata than CNG. However, to be sure, have a close look at the seeds. Note the little circle around the top of the seed on CNG, see images on:-
