These photos were taken between 12 May and 4 July 2020. Every afternoon two birds would fly across and land high up in these trees but on at least one occasion there were five birds. I delayed reporting as I was trying to get better photos as I believe at least some of these birds may be cross-bred with Long-billed Corellas.
These birds appear to be little corellas however a hybrid between species would not be an unlikely thing in Canberra. Hybrids tend to much stronger red between the beak and eye as well as a little bit of red on the breast. (Little corellas display a pink on the breast when the feathers are ruffled but Long-bills & most hybrids show clear red.) It is possible that some of the birds are hybrids but with ruffled feathers it is hard to tell.
