Distinctive markings on the beak could assist in the identification of individuals, at least for a period of time. Very easy method of ID, low labor effort required.

'Dirk Hartog' continues to visit this site at regular intervals, including today. At the moment I havn't put up more photos because it's just a repeat sighting of a regular visiting individual. I havn't made any progress thus far in locating his probable nest. (Female pair of Dirk visits this site too along with him, but she has 'disappeared' since the onset of the nesting season).
