Stumbled on this as I came around a corner about 5 metres down the maintainance path. Didn't get to see it long so didn't get a good look at its face. I'd say it was at least 12cms long in the body.

My instant thought initially was bandicoot but I've never seen one anywhere near that small so thought it might be more likely something else.

Scaling from the leaves, this animal is too big for any Antechinus. It looks like Isoodon as Chris M suggests.

I wasn't sure about size for antechinus but I had some concerns about the length of the tail and maybe nose shape so that would fit. Thanks for the ID!
