Yes, there are cats that live in the nearby drains, they use the cemetery to dump their prey for later. See sighting https://canberra.naturemapr.org/sightings/4355147, while I believe this animal was hit by a car I returned to it the next day and found it had been ripped apart with a significant portion of the carcass missing. So think it could have been killed by a feral cat.......... hope this helps :)

It does look a bit like a youngster, maybe it just wasn't wary enough. Both causes of death are possibilities.
