On their supporting PDF file entitled 'Dysbatus' to Part 4of Moths of Victoria the authors give guidelines for distinguishing Dysbatus species . They say that for D. singularis the main forewimg line has a single point, whereas Dysbatus sp.(genus) or their 'Dysbatus sp.(1) 'has a double point and the black line from the forewing apex in either is gently curved and does not reach as far as main forewing line. Whereas in D. stenodesma it has a sharp kink in it and reaches as far as the main forewing line. Dysbatus seems to be very variable so I reckon I've seen every variation possible in the pointedness pf main forewing line, but if my life was on it I'd choose Dysbatus sp. (genus) in this case!
