I suggest the shape of the moth in plan view is too rounded or 'bell shaped 'at the anterior end to be Atheropla, although the dot pattern matches A. crocera.

Yes the palps look a bit short too. I wonder if the hindwing costas are peeping out, giving it that rounded shape, and it is letting its palps sag ?
