I suspect this may be the same species as the cicada I took a photo of nearby. (Smoky buzzer I think it was). It was about the same size. Is there any way to tell?

It is not easy to tell (there are no keys or good references for nymphs. However, given the more precise information on size, the fact that it came from the same grassland patch and the presence of typical Myopsalta bands on the abdomen of this nymph, I am happy to refine the identification in this case.
