Puzzled by star pickets and wire netting around this tree, other obvious plantings of casuarinas around it with similar wire/pickets, but this tree significantly larger older. I do not think it is a planting, possibly friends of Mt Painter or landcare just put protection around it a few years ago? Most furtherly west occurrence of snow gum on Mt Painter so far
