As far as I can see the branching doesn't look right. In Artomyces a stem/branch ends in a disk-like to shallowly cup-like broadening and new branches develop around the rim of that disk/cup (e.g. Coralloid fungus, markedly branched Artomyces sp. (A coral fungus) on 22 May 2017 or https://admin-canberra.naturemapr.org/Community/Sightings/Details/3343616). Also, Artomyces grows on dead wood but of course sometimes that wood moih be buried under leaf litter so that the fruitbodies seem to grow from soil.
