This small egg sac appears to have been discoloured by sap running down the silk thread. This is the first egg sac I've seen with this funnel shape underneath so unsure what spider species is involved.

I've seen this before Tim - the tube was not as long, but it was an Argyrodes species.

Thanks Bron. I've just looked up the species, which is described as having stalked, modified eggsacs. Now I just have to find the owner.... Tim
