User's notes

Buds in groups of 3 to 5. Bark was very rough and fissured at the base (like an ironbark) but very smooth and blotchy from chest height upwards. Growing on the edge of Ginninderra Creek. The tree looked quite different to anything else I have seen in Canberra before. I thought the fruit resembled those of E. blakelyi. Is this a planting? EDIT: I have added a new image of the buds of plants near the footbridge a little further downstream. I think this looks like camaldulensis. Buds up to 7 per cluster.

I think so too. They are all the same height. There is a much taller tree near the Florey Dr overpass that was probably planted alongside the nicholii. Unfortunately I am too short to look for buds.

I suspect a planted specimen

There are about 40 planted E. camaldulensis in the area north of Ginninderra Creek between where the sewer pipe crosses and Florey Drive.
